Suffolk Fatal Shooting of 24-Year-Old Man

Victim Identified, Suspect Still at Large

Investigation Ongoing, Public's Help Sought

The Suffolk County Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday night as 24-year-old John Doe of Bay Shore. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Montauk Highway in West Islip.

According to police, Doe was standing outside of a convenience store when he was approached by an unknown individual. An altercation ensued, and the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Doe multiple times. Doe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are asking for the public's help in identifying and apprehending the suspect.
