Texas Rangers Designate Chase Anderson For Assignment
The Texas Rangers have designated right-handed pitcher Chase Anderson for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for top prospect Kumar Rocker.
Anderson, 34, was acquired by the Rangers in a trade with the Minnesota Twins in March. He made 17 starts for Texas this season, going 0-4 with a 7.31 ERA.
Kumar Rocker To Join Texas Rangers Rotation
Rocker, 22, was the Rangers’ first-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. He is considered one of the top pitching prospects in baseball.
Rocker made his professional debut with the Down East Wood Ducks this season, going 3-1 with a 3.13 ERA in five starts.
